Bangers and Cheesy Mustard Mash

The whole family will love this posh, ‘extra’ take on the family fave, bangers and mash.

SERVES: 4

DEFROSTING REQUIRED: No

TIME: 45 mins

TEMPERATURE: 180C gas mark 4

METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 180C.

2. Bake sausages in the oven for 30 mins.

3. Fry off sliced red onions in a little oil until soft – about 10 mins.

4. Meanwhile, microwave mash for 5 mins according to the instructions. Then add grated cheese and a knob of butter. Mix and microwave for a further 30 seconds so the cheese melts.

5. Make gravy with boiling water, take onions off heat and pour gravy into the onion mixture and stir thoroughly.

6. Cook your peas in the microwave. Serve alongside the sausages, mash and with plenty of onion gravy.

ALTERNATIVES: Veggies eating tonight? Try veggie sausages instead.

HACKS: Add a pinch of sugar to the cooking onions to help caramelise.

INGREDIENTS:

8-10 Iceland frozen sausages

1 x packet of Iceland frozen mash

1 x packet of Iceland grated cheddar cheese

1x knob of butter

1 tbsp oil

3 x red onions, sliced

Gravy

TO SERVE:

1 x bowl of Iceland frozen peas
