Fish Finger Pie Recipe

Fish Finger Pie

OK, so this sounds odd - but trust us, everyone will love it! It couldn’t be easier to make, and it’s a great store cupboard dinner that you’ll make again and again.

SERVES: 4

DEFROSTING REQUIRED: No

TIME: 25 mins

TEMPERATURE: 180C gas mark 4

METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 180C.

2. Get a square baking dish. Pour in the beans. Lay the fish fingers on top.

3. Microwave your mash for 3 mins. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes. Add a layer of mash to the pie, and scatter on lots of grated cheese. Bake for 20 mins.

4. Simmer the broccoli for 3 minutes. Serve together.

VARIATION: Try adding a spoonful of curry powder to the beans, or BBQ sauce.

HACKS: Get the kids involved! Could they lay the fish fingers in the baking dish? Can they sprinkle the cheese on? Giving them jobs to help create dinner will make fussy eaters more likely to eat it.
