Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships have played a huge part in how we develop our superstars of the future. To make sure we continue doing it right and we have the very best programmes in place we are so excited to announce our new partnership with SCL Professional. “I joined Iceland as a cashier. Once I was able to commit to more hours it wasn’t long before I became a Duty Manager and then shortly after that I had the opportunity to become a Supervisor at another store and am now a Senior Supervisor. I loved the on-the-job training as I’m not really a classroom learner and have really enjoyed the challenges and learnings. Along the way I’ve also become a colleague rep too.

Talking Shop
We give colleagues the opportunity to feed back to the owners of the company. This can be done through their elected Talking Shop Rep – every store has one – or through organised events designed to give our colleagues a platform to be heard. These include regional listening groups, Live Q&As on our social media platform, as well as regular conferences and roadshows.
