DEFROSTING REQUIRED: No
TIME: 45 mins
TEMPERATURE: 180C gas mark 4
METHOD
1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. Soften the onion in oil. Add beef and defrost in the pan and cook until it’s brown.
3. Add a stock cube and a splash (1/3 of a mug) of water and bring to a simmer.
4. Add the 2 tins of beans. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 mins. Season with some pepper.
5. Microwave enough mash to cover your pie.
6. Pour into a baking dish. Top with mash and then plenty of grated cheese. Bake for 20 mins.
7. Serve with the peas and a jug of gravy made using the instructions on the packaging.
VARIATION: Try this with sausages instead of mince. Simply fry off the sausages from frozen for 15 mins and skip the onions and garlic.
