Chip Shop Curry Fish Fillet Strips

  • 8 chip shop curry fish fillets
  • 2 egg fried rice steam bags
  • 1 mayflower Chinese style curry sauce

Method

  1. Cook the fish strips to the on pack cooking instruction.
  2. Make the curry sauce as instructed on the pack.
  3. Heat the steam bags and pour each bag onto a plate, add the fish strips, pour over the desired amount of sauce.

Salt and vinegar fish fillet strips doorstop sandwich with tartare sauce, mushy peas and chunky chips.

  • 8 salt and vinegar fish fillets
  • 4 slices of buttered thick white bloomer
  • 1 tin of mushy peas
  • 200g chunky chips
  • 2 tbsps. tartare sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and cracked black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Cook the fish strips to the on pack cooking instruction along with the chunky chips.
  2. Heat the mushy peas in a saucepan with a knob of butter and add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place a slice of buttered bloomer bread on each serving plate, spread with mushy peas, add chunky chips, top with the fish fillets, add tartare sauce and then the remaining slices of buttered bread.
  4. Serve with mushy peas and the remaining chunky chips.

Method

  • 10 crispy battered fish fillet chunks
  • 1 Iceland salad pack
  • 4 slices cooked and diced smoked streaky bacon
  • 100g grated parmesan
  • 100g mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • The juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and crack black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Cook the fish strips to the on pack cooking instruction.
  2. To make the Caesar dressing. Place the mayonnaise, ½ of the parmesan, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice into a blender. Blend for 10 seconds and season to taste.
  3. Prepare the salad and place into serving bowls. Top with the fish fillet chunks, drizzle with Caesar dressing, add the diced bacon and sprinkle over the remaining parmesan. Finished with cracked black pepper.
