There tasty very very tasty there very tasty

very nice easy to cook but only 2 very small fish inside

Not very good. The non-frozen boil-in-the-bag kind are much tastier.

Very tasty, great with poached egg and tomatoes, however a price hike of 40% is excessive.

I love these flavoursome kippers. Have them for breakfast or midday snack with 2 slices tiger b read. LOVELY!

Just most enjoyable very moist lovely

Lovely product. Good for its price

I love kippers and often have these on a Sunday morning. They're enough for two and great if you add a poached egg. I microwave them so they don't smell too much. I find the supermarket chilled kippers can smell and taste a bit off, but these are consistent quality and handy to keep a few boxes in the freezer. Hope Iceland keeps stocking them

Tasty and easy to cook a little salty

Youngs has been preparing and packing kippers for years, so they know what they are doing when it comes to fish products. If you are lucky enough to be able to buy fresh kippers these days, then stick to them, but many supermarkets have stopped stocking them now, so these Young's kippers are an ideal replacement, after all when buying fresh kippers, then after deboning them what do you land with, the fillet, and that is what you get in the box. There are a few comments from people who say that are hard when cooked, or they can't separate them on the plate, and even one comment that they only want one fillet. The packet of kippers come as a whole meal, you eat them in one go, so if you only want one fillet then don't buy them. If they are too hard after cooking them you are over cooking them, if you are not able to separate them, then you have not cooked them enough. The ideal way to cook them is to boil them, but make sure you have a pot big enough for the fish to have plenty of room to boil in and keep to the set time. It seems that the problem is with microwaving them, the kippers have to cook to the right time, too long and they will come out hard, too little they are not cooked enough, go by what it says on the packet and adjust the time to suit the wattage of your microwave, I have a 700-watt microwave, and I cook them for 4m 35sec and they come out perfectly, but the time was not guess, I use an app called "Microwave Watt", download this then you can work out the time to suit your wattage. Also, you will have the problem, with piercing the packet when frozen, the answer is to cook them for half the time, then take them out of the microwave, then you will be able to pierce the packet easy. So please do not complain that they are too hard, or not cooked enough, the problem is with you, you are the one who is cooking them.
