Splendid for vegetarian sausage rolls

Convenient, and really nice pastry, have purchased several times to make sausage rolls and savoury turnovers (corned beef/potato/onion) using any 'spares' as a 'pizza' type base with cheese/onion/fresh tomato topping....delicious.

I haven’t used frozen pastry for years but fancied making some cream slices for a special treat!! Oh dear I should have read the reviews!! Wasn’t expecting them not to rise very well!! Didn’t brown very well either!! I will stay clear of this in future very disappointed

Second time purchase. I thought I was unlucky with the first batch. Sadly, this is the worst pre bought pastry I’ve bought. No rise, and quite hard texture. I wouldn’t recommend it I didn’t read the ingredients, had I done my homework I wouldn’t have, I try to avoid palm oil

Looked good value but that's where the positives ended. After defrosting and left to warm slightly before using it was very hard to roll. Once cooked, the pastry didn't rise and resembled shortcrust. Not a very nice flavour so checked the ingredients online to see what was going wrong and then was shocked to see that it contains NO BUTTER !! It is made from PALM OIL !!. Very disappointing, another rubbish product from Iceland. I am sure you can guess, I won't be buying this again.

From one block I made four 12cm square vegetable parcels. Too big so next time will make more smaller. Baked for 30 mins at 200C + Fan. There was an acceptable rise (but less than hoped for) and 20 or more pastry layers were apparent. The taste and texture - hot and cold - were satisfactory. It was disappointing that they stayed very pale - no more than a hint of turning brown. Undoubtedly saved a lot of time and effort - good value for the price.

You get a lot of "puff" for your pound but it's got a slightly odd taste and it's a great pity about the palm oil. There seems little point in Iceland trumpeting that they're taking palm oil out of all their own brand products and then buying in product full of it.

Good value pastry . I divide it up and make six slices with sosmix and herbs .

I nearly didn't buy this because of previous reviews. I think the problem is that the packet does not give a cooking temperature. Puff pastry must be cooked on a very high temperature. I used 230 (210 fan) Turned out very nice and tasted the same as any other puff pastry.

Just thought I would put a review as I have been using this fairly frequently for over a year and have not had any of the problems with this product that have been mentioned.
