How to cook

Hob Chilled

Cook time: - 1 hr. 25 min.

Remove outer packaging (leave in joint casing).

Place into a pan and cover with boiling water.

Bring back to the boil, cover with a lid and simmer for 1 hour 25 minutes (Do not let the pan boil dry, add extra water if required).

Allow to stand for 10 - 15 minutes, remove casing before carving.


Oven Chilled

Fan 180°C Cook time: - 2 hr. 20 min.

Gas 6

Remove outer packaging (leave in joint casing).

Place on a baking tray, cover loosely with foil.

Cook near the middle of the oven for 2 hours 10 minutes.

Remove foil and casing, return to oven for 10 minutes.

Allow to stand for 10 - 15 minutes before carving.

Pork Leg (88%), Water, Salt, Dextrose, Stabilisers: Triphosphates, Diphosphates; Preservatives: Sodium Nitrite, Potassium Nitrate; Antioxidant: Sodium Ascorbate.

Had this in the freezer and thought it was about time I cooked it roasted in the oven for 4 hrs under foil 160 perfect wasn’t expecting much but great joint

Boiled gently, Very tender and tasty.

I decided foolishly that we would have this gammon on Sunday. I read the instructions to boil or roast and as it was for Sunday lunch l thought roast what mistake there was so much salt the the gammon which made it impossible to eat, it was horrible. I have re read the instructions and it doesn't say anything about how much salt is in it. On the front of packet you are told UNSALTED. Which now has put my husband in a bad mood thats Iceland.
