How to cook
Oven Frozen
Pre-heat oven.
Remove outer packaging and film lid.
Cover loosely with foil.
Place on a baking tray near the middle of the oven.
2 hours into cooking time, remove foil, return to oven for 40 minutes.
Stand for 10 minutes before carving.
Defrost
Defrost in a refrigerator for 36 hours.
Drain before cooking.
Once defrosted, cook within 24 hours.

Was so salty this year that it caused my mouth to blister after only tasting a small piece.

Far too salty and tough as old boots. Would have been disappointed if serving it for boxing day buffet.

So disappointed in this joint.....thankfully this was a trial run before Xmas .This was tough and nothing like standard of small ham joint.....Will stick with that instead

This is a good piece of gammon. It would be much better if it is much less salty

Cooked the gammon from frozen. Disgusting, all I could taste was salt. The content was 50% fat.

Tried this november 2015 as I have been trying a lot of different roasts to fill a sunday. I was originally put off by the name as i didn't know what spruce would have been like thought it would have been a strange piney taste. It wasn't. It was a large smoked tender gammon that was easy cut. Would get it again for the easiness of the cutting.
