How to cook

Defrost

In a refrigerator

Defrost in a refrigerator for 24 hours.

Drain before cooking.

Once defrosted use immediately.


Oven Defrost

Fan 180°C Cook time: - 1 hr. 30 min.

Gas 6

Remove outer packaging and film lid.

Place on a baking tray near the middle of the oven for Fan 1 hour 30 minutes/Gas 1 hour 40 minutes.

Stand for 10 minutes before carving.


Oven Frozen

Fan 180°C Cook time: - 1 hr. 50 min.

Gas 6

Remove outer packaging and film lid.

Place on a baking tray near the middle of the oven for Fan 1 hour 50 minutes/Gas 2 hours.

Stand for 10 minutes before carving.

Excellent. Cooked well and cracklings crackled!

best piece of pork i have tasted in a long time - had been buying from a big supermarket but after having this i will be returning to Iceland for more

Very nice n juicey

Lovely and very nice and tastes good

Very tasty

Meet nice and moist and cracking perfect.

I love pork crackling but it can be very difficult to cook to get crispy with the same cooking as the meat. I did a part defost of the joint in a micro wave and cut the crackling off so it could be cooked separately. As I am on my own I took the opportunity to cut the crackling and meat into 5 portions (meat 16mm thick slices) and put back in the freezer. To cook I beat the meat and marinaded in oil, vinegar and herbs. I put the crackling in a tray at the top of the oven at maximum temperature for 20 minutes then turned down to gas 7 and added the meat and frozen roast potatoes for another 30 minutes. The result was delicious; juicy tender meat, crisp, not chewy, crackling.
