I can only assume that the people calling this things like "the hottest curry I've ever had!!!" or "hotter than the sun!!!" are people who have never stepped foot in an Indian restaurant, and their only experiences of curry come from opening a cardboard box, puncturing the plastic, and microwaving for 5 minutes. You get a decent amount in it, in fact I waws surprised at just how much was in the box. There's a single tray so SOME (not all like other reviewers are saying) of the sauce does go into the rice, but that's fine for me. It's not like you eat curry then rice then curry then rice. The rice was nice, and the sauce had a nice flavour, much better than I was expecting from a frozen meal at this price point. The only downside to this is the chunks of beef weren't very nice or beefy flavoured. But, it's the cheapest curry and rice, and it's prefectly fine. In fact I'm ordering more and trying the chicken one! It's excellent value for £1.

Omg! This is one of the hottest curry’s I’ve ever eaten, I couldn’t eat it, it was that hot! My nose was running and my tongue on fire, I’m just glad I bought ice lollies with my order! These should definitely come with a warning

This is even worse than the chicken curry. It was so bad I couldn't even finish it. These curries used to be nice not anymore they should be removed from sale

Mild my one was hotter than a madras and face and lips came out in an allergic reaction . Should be taken of sale . Bought two the remaining one going to a lab for examination

Normally when I have had this before it was very good, this time for some reason it was very dry and the meat was hard. Shame as I was looking forward to it.

It is marketed as a one out of three chillies, but we found it so hot that there was virtually no taste!

Cheap and very nasty. My own fault for only paying this price for a meal. Horrible 'beef' and the curry sauce was revolting. Iceland do their good name no favours with this junk.

Used to be quite nice, not sure what's changed recently by the 'beef' is chewy and bland, too much hot curry powder, with no evidence of onion, apple or sultanas as in a real curry. Advice: go to a curry house and learn how to make a reasonable curry.

A Cheap Meal. The beef isn't exactly proper 'beef' but for £1 at 500g why complain? What are you expecting? beef sirloin steak?

Can't really go wrong basic quick good sized standard curry dish

To say there's only one chilli icon on the box, I would say it's more spicy than that maybe a 2-3. All I could taste was spices and nothing much else. I had to throw it in the bin won't be buying again..

For a £1 it is great value and tasty.

I like these currys can't understand why you have put them in trays now, when they were in bags they were much better. I'm not a microwave lover and I used to boil mine in the bag it made the chunks of meat more tender, putting in the microwave or oven takes this away

There are minute little square of meat that frankly could be anything. Nasty sauce just awful threw it away

No flavour, cheap and nasty.

Watery but had flavour. So called beef chunks were obviously processed and tasteless. Rice was good though I wouldn't buy again.

I had the prawn curry and quite enjoyed it. The Mrs had this and said she couldn't eat it. Normally I would eat anything before it gets thrown out but I couldn't force myself to eat it It's the first time that's ever happened and I'm quite shocked at how bad it tasted.

Really tasty curry, not too hot but adequate, beef is nice and tender, rice soft and fluffy. Well worth the price, fantastic!

Really good flavour with tender beef. Microwaves well. I will be buying it again.

adsolutely lovely and its boil in the bag or microwave superb i dont like microwaves and boiling in the bag provides scrumpous diced beef
