How to cook

Defrost

In a refrigerator

Defrost in a refrigerator for 24 hours.

Once defrosted, cook within 48 hours.


Oven Defrost

Fan 200°C Cook time: 35 min. - 42 min.

Gas 6 Cook time: 35 min. - 42 min.

Pre-heat oven Fan 200°C/Gas 6.

Remove from all packaging, including pad from base.

Allow to stand for 20 minutes at room temperature.

Place in a roasting tin near the middle of the oven.

20 minutes into cooking time reduce oven temperature to Fan 170°C/Gas 4.

Cook for a further: Rare 15 minutes. Medium 18 minutes. Well done 22 minutes.

Allow to rest for 10 minutes before carving.

Fan 200°C Cook time: 1 hr. 10 min. - 1 hr. 30 min.

Gas 6 Cook time: 1 hr. 10 min. - 1 hr. 30 min.

Pre-heat oven Fan 200°C/Gas 6.

Place in a roasting tin near the middle of the oven.

Cook for a further: Rare 50 minutes. Medium 60 minutes. Well done 70 minutes.

Allow to rest for 10 minutes before carving.

I bought this for new year’s day lunch, it was absolutely delicious and melt in the mouth, highly recommended.

Had this for Sunday lunch and was fantastic. Cooked medium rare and it melted in the mouth!

Bought the PICANHA joint this week. Never had this cut before. IT WAS SUPERB, AND I AM GOING TO BUY IT AGAIN TODAY.

Was a little dissatisfied with this - some parts were lovely and tender but there were a lot of grisly bits running through it. Also, the crust with all the flavour sits on top of the fat and gristle that gets removed so you don’t gain any benefits of flavour. Shame.
