How to cook

Defrost Frozen

in a refrigerator

Defrost in a refrigerator for 24 hours.

Once defrosted keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours.


Oven Defrost

Fan 210°C Cook time: 30 min. - 45 min.

Gas 8

Remove from all packaging.

Place on a baking tray near the middle of the oven for 30-45 minutes.

For rare cooked fillet reduce the cooking time to 30-35 minutes.

For well-done increase the cooking time to 40-45 minutes.

Stand for 20 minutes before carving.

For a rare cooked fillet reduce the cooking time to 1 hour 10 minutes.

For well-done increase the cooking time to 1 hour 40 minutes.

So good, pastry a little thick on the ends, we defrosted you get optimal Results, it’s excellent quality and value. My local store in Spalding usually has it in stock, but when I’ve been to Peterborough it’s usually out of stock. It sounds a lot at £16 but it’s worth every penny, what a wonderful treat

Absolutely delicious--nicely surprised,I have to say,for the price.Lovely pastry and filling and the beef was divine.We've paid a fortune in restaurants for this dish and it's not ben as good.We prefer rare,so,I defrosted it,heated the fan oven up,then put it in for 30 minutes,just turning the oven tray round half way thru'.It was perfect!!!

Really tasty and love the crisp topping. Beef was really good quality and only didn’t give 5stars as a bit too much pepper for me

Really nice - tender beef and good pastry

This beef wellington is amazing. Follow to the instructions and you won’t go wrong! I chose to cook from defrost, as recommended and it was exactly as stated it would be, medium rare. The beef just melted in your mouth, the duxelle was divine. The only downside was it’s not an elegant dish when serving, despite resting as per instructions, the pastry tends to break up. That being said, it doesn’t detract from the flavour and taste. I’m going to stock up before it sells out! Well done Iceland!

I have tried this both near the rarer end of cooking time and towards the well done. Preference would be well done, with the meat still being very tender and not at all chewy. Pastry was light and non-greasy. Cannot see anyone else being able to do a better Wellington than this, especially at this price.

This is superb. Tried it and loved it so much bought two more to make Christmas Day. Will serve this AND the Iceland turkey crown for Christmas lunch. Frozen has come a long way in recent years so I’ve have decided to go easy on myself and use frozen this Christmas and spend my time with my family and a glass of fizz this year instead of in the kitchen all day!

Thoroughly enjoyed this. We followed the cooking instructions for rare beef, and it was very rare. Not a problem for us but worth noting if you are cooking for a group of people.
