How to cook

Defrost

In a refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours.

Once defrosted keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours.


Oven Defrost

Fan 200°C Cook time: 20 min. - 30 min.

Gas 7 Cook time: 20 min. - 30 min.

Pre-heat oven Fan 200°C/Gas 7.

Remove from all packaging.

Remove sachet and place to one side.

Rub meat with a little oil and season.

Pre-heat frying pan over a medium/high heat, place meat in the frying pan, seal on all sides.

Place in a roasting tin near the middle of the oven.

Cook for: Rare 20 minutes, Medium 25 minutes, Well Done 30 minutes.

Stand for 10 minutes before carving.

Empty contents of sauce into a small pan, heat gently over a low heat for 1-2 minutes.

My partener is very picky when it comes to steak, and he said this was the best he had ever eaten. It just fell apart and the sauce was scrummy. Going to order more to take to our caravan. Well done Iceland 👀

Such high exceptions, but fatty, chewy and all round not what I expected. Seared it, then popped in the over for just over 20 minutes, was a lovely colour, but taste and texture was such an off put.

Wow. What quality of steak. We had ours rare....could have cut it with a butter knife! Have recommended to friends and family.

Thought I would try after reading reviews, omg, divine is an understatement. Followed instructions and it was the best steak we have ever had... and it was a frozen steak!!!! Definitely recommend.

At last my Friday night's are once again complete. I have been buying this ever since it was introduced and was gutted when Iceland stopped selling it. It is without doubt top quality and great value. I don't like the sauce but that's just my personal taste . I make a wholegrain mustard and cream sauce which goes really well. I have served this at dinner parties to foodie friends who raved about it and were shocked when told it was frozen from iceland

I hope this stays in stock all year round, not just special occasions. Great weekly buy, good food at affordable prices and so simple to cook.

This is literally restaurant quality - I think it's the best thing I've ever bought from any supermarket. I defrost it, sear on all sides in a hot pan, then oven bake to medium rare. The sauce is divine too! So glad Iceland have brought this back

With easy cooking instructions, this was a great buy. The meat was tender, flavoursome and the sauce was amazing. This will definitely be on my shopping list again.

I seem to have been unluckier than the other reviewers but I found this to be one of the toughest pieces of meat I have ever tried to eat. Very little trace of the wine sauce. A great disappointment and no way was it worth £10. A pity as I love all the other Iceland produce.

This was tender, juicy and had a great flavour. I have paid 3 times the price for this and it's not been as good.

We've had this twice now and we love it, really easy and convenient but super tasty too. It got me brownie points with my parents too. They were so impressed, they thought it must have come from a butchers! Amazing value!

Not Chateaubriand. Ours was a fillet tail (cheap cut) rolled up and tied. Should have gone to the butchers.

Excellent. This tastes brilliant and it melts in your mouth. Would buy again.

We bought this and cooked it exactly to the instructions on pack. Made a wonderful meal with Iceland Triple Cooked Chips.

Just wanted to say that this is a brilliant meal. I have now bought it for the second time and would have no hesitation in buying again. A real delight. Thank you Iceland.

Fantastic quality fillet steak, I've not bought better anywhere. Cooked it as directed for a medium steak and it was perfect. This was not a one time buy either. I've bought seven of these so far and every single one has been superb. Love the red sauce too. Tip put the sauce in a microwavable dish and warm for 40 secs it thickens it a little. Serves two very generous portions.

You will not eat a better steak than this & for the price you can't beat it. Easily fed 2 in our house

We had this for dinner last night and was blown away with the quality meltingly tender and really tasty. Will definitely buy again!
