Excellent quality meat. Will be buying regularly. Lovely texture and taste.

Slow cooked this joint for Sunday lunch & it was lovely, very tender & juices made great gravy

Terrible joint, lots of inedible fat, tough chewy poor quality

Tried this joint several times now & never been disappointed.

It was so tender, cooked it in the morning in a foil envelope with a drop of water inside for steam. It was excellent.

Had this joint for Sunday lunch. Nice & tender & very tasty. Will be buying it again !

This piece of Beef was awful!!! It was nothing like the Aberdeen Angus beef bought around Christmas - it had basting fat with it, was in a box and frozen - and it was just beautiful, very tasty and melted in the mouth. So obviously I expected this latest beef to be the same - it was not! First of all it was slaughtered in Ireland, despite having the label of Aberdeen Angus Beef - does that mean it wasn't bred in Scotland?? Does it also mean that the customer is being misled...I would have thought to have the label the animal should be bred in Scotland?? Whatever, I will never waste my money on this again - and a word of advice to anyone who needs to wear dentures - make sure you use plenty of fixative before trying to chew on this meat!!!! Better still, don't bother buying it in the first place, you will be very disappointed. your customers a favour and get the boxed Aberdeen Angus Beef back - even if it is more expensive, it will be worth it to be able to eat and enjoy it!!!!

I am a loyal customer of Iceland and am usually quite satisfied with most of the products. However I was not only disappointed with this piece of beef I was also pretty angry that I wasted quite a lot of money on it. I cooked it as per the instructions and during the cooking process I thought there was a strange smell coming from the oven. On trying a piece off the end it was tough and chewy but worst of all it had a strong taste of onions. I know this sounds bonkers but my husband confirmed that he could also taste onions, Don,t know whether it was off or not but no way this was edible. It went straight in the bin. Never again. I cannot recommend this product.

I bought several joints preparatory to Christmas, so I could decide what to have on the day. This one was a very strange cut, almost like two different pieces. When cooking it twisted in the middle, half was quite nice lean meat, the other half was covered in a huge lump of fat, with gristly bits through the main part making it unsuitable to present as a joint, so only the smaller half was used this way. The 2nd part, I won't say half as so much had to be thrown away, went for longer cooking that I would usually use for cheap, tough cuts.

Totally beautiful piece of meat full of taste and very tender. Will be buying again soon.
