How to cook

Pan Fry Defrost

Remove from packaging.

Allow to stand for 20 minutes.

Lightly season each side of the steak and rub with a little oil.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a high heat.

Fry over a high heat, turn every 2 minutes, reduce heat if necessary.

Rare 4-6 minutes, Medium 7-8 minutes, Well Done 9-10 minutes.

Stand for 5 minutes before serving.

This was a nice, succulent steak. Cooked it to medium rare and it was yum.

Tough, chewy Not very tasty

I have ordered this steak twice before and it was really very good for the price. This time it was much thinner and quite pale. When put in the pan it produced an enormous amount of foam and it was impossible to to seal the meat. And yes, I did follow instructions.

I thought I would try this instead of my usual steak I buy, but was disappointed. It was thin and no better than cheap frying steak to be honest. Won't bother again.

I was so disappointed with the latest steak I had from Iceland. I have purchased before and they have always been delicious, This steak was far from delicious. I cooked it as I usually do rare, but on this occasion this steak was chewy and grizzly and definitely wasn’t up to Iceland’s Aberdeen Angus Rump. I ate more mushrooms and chips than I ate of the steak. I ended up binning easily 9/10 of the steak. As much as I would love to order another steak (it’s the only red meat I eat every week), I don’t feel I can buy this item again.

Sunday dinner ruined by this awful steak. Only approximately 25% of the two steaks we cooked were edible. If these are the luxury ones I can only imagine how bad a normal one must taste like.

As much as I would love to order another steak (it’s the only red meat I eat every 2 to 3 weeks), I don’t feel I can trust the quality again.

For the price I was a bit apprehensive about the quality but we were pleasantly surprised. We cooked them to well done , they were tender and very tasty.

First time bought steak from Iceland. Will certainly buy again. I'm impressed

this is the best steak ive had in a very long time no gristle in sight no fat in sight and cooked to perfection medium rare will be buying again
