How to cook

Pan Fry Chilled

Remove from packaging.

Allow to stand for 20 minutes.

Lightly season each side of the steak and rub with a little oil.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a high heat.

Fry over a high heat, turn every 2 minutes, reduce heat if necessary.

Rare 4-6 minutes, Medium 7-8 minutes, Well Done 9-10 minutes.

Stand for 2 minutes before serving.

Amazing fillet steak, i pan-fried in oil and butter 3 mins each side, basting it all the time with butter, lovely medium-rare steak, nice and pink, I will be buying a bulk lot next time

After reading the reviews I thought I would try your fillet steaks, I wish i had not , have never seen fillet steak cut like these were,and with tough membranes running through them, I was doubtful they would eat well but thought I would give them the chance but regrettably I was proved right,the look on my husbands face when he tried to eat it was not good, he was definitely not enjoying his dinner (and neither did I) we abandoned the steak and carried on with our salad and jacket potato.

We were really impressed with these steaks. Lovely quality meat and good flavour. Also great that they are from local farms. Will buy again

On par with other brands finest products, did not have huge expectations for this, however, they were brilliant, no gristle, soft and tender

First time I have tried this and really disappointing. It was full of gristle and couldn't chew. I gave to my cat and even he had difficulty eating it!!

Had this last night with button mushrooms, Iceland southern Fried Potato wedges, and some salad, and it was excellent. I flash fried both sides in hot oil, with some buttom mushrooms, then put it, and the mushrooms in the oven to finish off with the wedges (about 10 mins). Probably the best tasting steak i have had from a supermarket, in a long while.

After quite a few examples, I remain amazed at the value. And it tastes even better 8 days after the use by date. Chop up half a red onion and a handful of mushrooms, pan fry these with a small butter pat for 10 minutes - then introduce the steak (sprinkled with fresh lemon and pepper) and seal for about 30 seconds each side. Then spread the onions/mushrooms and fry the steak on top of that "bed" for 8-10 minutes - it will still be rare but warmed evenly through.

Bought many of times and never disappointed. Cooks perfectly on the grill, in the pan or on a George Forman.

Surprisingly good - serve rare.
