Absolutely loved these plenty of nice chunky meat not to much gravy, nice crusty top lovely flavour will get again

Lots of filling and chunky bits of meat. It lost a star as I don't like aniseed and wasn't expecting that.

Seriously impressed with this as good as home-made pie. Much better than the competitors for the same price. Has a slight hint of aniseed!

May I make a suggestion when heating this pie. If you have a fan-assisted oven, cook it in that rather than an ordinary oven. I found that when I did cook in the ordinary oven, the pie tended to split open and the bottom was rather soggy. Heating it in a fan-assisted oven cured both problems. Other than that, I found the pie to be very tasty with plenty of chunky beef and gravy. Pastry was nice too. No complaint regarding the quality.

very tasty pies we really enjoyed them

I was looking forward to one of these pies. After 40 minutes in the oven, the pastry crumbled to bits, with gravy spilling out, partly burnt due to being exposed. Pie and filling were dry, and the taste was beyond description. Similar steak and ale pies from another well-known supermarket are excellent. Not recommended.

Cant speak for other people, but the pies I bought had a decent amount of filling in them, a very tasty gravy, with a subtle taste of ale and a light crispy pastry and the black pepper on the top was a nice touch.

Packed with filling, tender chunks of steak and tasty gravy! Beautiful!

They taste amazing!

Not very luxurious counted about 3 very small scraps of steak in my pie and not much more in the others :(
