Cooked in slow cooker on a bed of root vegetables. One hour high, then low for 6 hours. Sliced enough meat for two meals for four adults (we eat a lot of veg so dedicated meat eaters might get half as many meals). There were enough bits left on the bone to use as a basis for flavouring soup cooked in the pressure cooker. By adding lots of veg and a little barley this made six generous portions. I used this joint in fourteen meals. I count that as good value. Notes for those who found this tough, my slow cooker's 'low' setting is properly low. Some slow cookers boil things up on every setting which can toughen meat. Also balancing the meat on the root veg helps it not to overcook / shrink. There was a general family agreement that this meat tasted really good, and was very tender.

Not the best end of the lamb a bit chewy

Scrawny piece of meat ... certainly not like any pictures on the website Very disappointing for my first shop

Definately not worth 7 pounds little meat and a lot of bone, wont be fooled next time

Iceland fresh meat is worse than the worst. I made a stew with their fresh meat in a slow cooker and five hours later the meat was still as tough as old boots. Never buy fresh meat from Iceland. You have been warned.

I have bought numerous full leg of lamb joints and they have always been lovely but this was tasteless at best, at worse so full of gristle and these tubes which also put me off - I would have been better off just throwing £7 in the bin - this spoilt our Easter dinner.

Ordering meat from here I`m always a little sceptical but this cooked beautifully and fell from the bone. Will be buying again.

I have bought this small leg of lamb a number of times however my recent order the lamb is a lot smaller than before, because of this I need to question is it worth the price and I don't think it is because if size which will feed. Two people by the time you take lamb of bone The taste is lovely and tender when I roast it but the price needs to be lower.

Very tender when roasted but smaller than half a leg
