This is quite tasty meat but I picked out lots of fatty bits before adding to an Irish stew. More importantly there were bones in the meat when cooked. I bit down on numerous bits of shrapnel of bones when eating my stew. I cannot buy it anymore as it's too dangerous for children to put in their mouths!

I think this lamb is rather tasty. I cook my casserole the day before, when cold I put it in the fridge, in the morning the fat has risen to the top and is quite solid. It's very easy to remove and I'm left with a very nice not so fatty dish. Very nice.

I recently purchased this with my Christmas shop and I feel compelled to leave a review as I have never bothered to review a product before, however I decided on using this meat that I had to make an exception. On opening the packets, I used two I as struck by how much fat was actually on the meat some pieces were just fat, no meat whatsoever. However I continued with making the curry but decided due to the amount of fat in the uncooked product that I would cook it first and let the fat rise to the top and skim it off SIMPLE not so by the time this was cooked it was a disgusting mess of scum and small pieces of meat that looked like large chunks of mince. I decided to wash the meat, yes, you heard right to see if I could remove the scum, it was impossible I ended up throwing the whole lot in the bin it was inedible. Whilst I appreciate this was a budget product it was still £5 for two packs I actually purchased stewing lamb for £3.74 in tesco which weighed 650 gram which was a thousand times better value . I have read the reviews what other people have posted and can only say each to there own , but I know I would not use this product if it was Free

This product is absolutely fantastic value. As I would expect eating Lamb its fattier than its Beef equivalent but the flavour was exceptional. I used it in Irish stew flouring and browning the meat and getting the fat to start to rendered down. Browning it also caramelises the the sugars and allows the bets of the flavour to come out of the lamb.

I used this diced lamb in my slow cooker 4 hrs lovely and tender, worth money

More FAT and LARD than meat! So much so that removing (not trimming, as there was so much of it) the fat left a thick layer of lard paste on my hands. I can't call it trimming as I spent 45 minutes removing fat from 2 bags before giving up. Once cooked it was filled with so much scum it was truly disgusting. Although of course I had spent ages skimming as much scum as I could it was all to no avail as the resulting curry had a disgusting gritty texture, with all of the meat and vegetables covered in scum. The scum is at least the same colour as what little lamb remained however imagine your vegetables COVERED IN SCUM as well!! It really was truly disgusting visually. I don't get how some people found it edible and have supposedly given it 5 stars, each to their own I guess.

Really disappointed in this product, online purchase of four bags, used to make an irish stew, the fat that I scooped off the top filled a cereal bowl. Had I shopped in store it would have been possible to see the amount of fat, sadly I was swayed by the favourable reviews on here.

Great for slow cooker made a lamb casserole and lamb curry both in slow cooker. Nice and tender with cooking slowly

Excellent and very good value. I use it to make Scouse. It's really tender once cooked.

Makes a delicious stew. I fried it from frozen as directed on the packet and added vegetable & stock. Cooked slowly for 2 hours the lamb was very tasty and tender.
