How to cook

Pan Fry and oven Frozen

Fan 160°C Cook time: - 2 hr. 30 min.

Gas 3

Pre-heat a little oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add required amount to the pan.

Fry over a medium heat.

Stir frequently until browned all over, reduce heat if necessary.

Transfer to an ovenproof dish, add vegetables and stock, cover and cook near the middle of the oven for minimum of 2 hours 30 minutes.

Stir occasionally, add more stock if necessary.

I bought four of these and made a stew out of three of them. I had to throw the whole lot into the bin including the one that was unopened. You will be wasting your money. I guarantee.

Some small pieces in the bag but made little difference once cooked. Lamb was very tender and tasty, great value as usual.

Pieces of bone which was so off putting , will not buy again

Great product! I have seen several reviews stating they had bone in theirs, this is not something I have personally experienced with this product to date. I use this for morrocan tagine and hot pot recipes, I brown the lamb from frozen in a hot fry pan and then move to the slow cooker for 6+hours - this leaves the meat very tender and all the fat has rendered down.

absolute rubbish full of bones inedible rubbish.

Only gave one star because you can’t give none. Cooks down really small and is full of pieces of bones and gristle. Terrible!

Used it lots of times to make Lancashire hot pot, always nice, not too much fat on it when cooked( 6hours on high in the slow cooker with onions and carrots)

I will not be buying this again, as it's mostly fat that I had to trim off, or pour away after cooking. The meat also crumbles into tiny pieces like mince after frying, leaving only a couple of chunky ones.
