Please don't ever stop selling these!!!!! Love adding them to homemade seafood pasta, eating on their own or adding to fried fish for that extra taste of the sea. A joy to eat. Fantastic!

Had a conversation with a Cockle Seller at Leigh-on-Sea and was informed that Cockles are Dredged/Harvested in a short few weeks around August and the majority are frozen and are the same as 'fresh' as sold at the Seaside. Absolutely perfect, mine were delivered an hour ago! Not many left!

Cockles, mussels etc. never seem to taste as good as when you used to buy them from the sea food stall on the sea front, but these little beauties come pretty close. A new line from Iceland, let's hope they hang on to these and do not discontinue them like some other lines.
