Really enjoyed the flavour, and good value, indian cuisine is my absolute favourite food and this didn't disappoint

I love these meals usually go for the chicken ones though Lamb and Pork would also be good to go with the beef as an alternative.

Excellent

Excellent

It's one of the nicest curry's I've tasted in a long time, top rate

I love the new recipe which is the first time I can say that I have ever liked an 'improved recipe' as that typically means cheaper substituted ingredients but I prefer this now more than I did in the first place. Lovely

Used to love the original one,but the new*improved* is really Awful! Please bring back the old one.

Delicious.

Bought this every week but no more. New & improved but does not taste the same, awful

I wasn't sure what the quality or quantity would be like, but I shouldn't have worried. Nicely spiced curry and more Chicken in it than I had expected. I have since had it on another 2 occasions as well and will carry on as long as it's being stocked!

I've been buying this curry for a long time and I loved it. Sadly you decided that you needed to 'improve' the recipe and well you ruined it. It no longer has the lovely flavour and it's no longer spicy at all. It's horrible and now a waste of money buying it. I'm not happy at all with this meal and same goes for a lot of others looking at the other reviews here. Why did you have to ruin your curries like this? Please look and listen to your customers and bring the old recipe back. This used to be the best now it's one of the worst ready meal curries I've ever had.

A really great curry. Better than other stores similar products. Shame someone gave this curry a 3 star just because the meat one isn't as good, because this is excellent.

Horrible new chicken madras. Please listen to the reviews and get rid of the new recipe. I only registered on your site to give this review. I loved the previous chicken madras it tasted as good if not better than my local takeaway. You have ruined this now. It tasted horrible bring the old one back. I want iceland to respond to all these reviews, we all hate the new recipe!!! Shame you can't but 0 down.

I now prefer the Iceland chicken madras to an actual take away and at a fraction of the cost! Great value.

Even after reading all the negative reviews I still thought I’d give Iceland’s takeaway range chicken madras a try. I cooked it in the oven along with a rice from Iceland’s takeaway range so there was enough for my husband and myself, they were very easy to cook,I’m not one for spicy curry but this one had a 2 out of 5 chilli peppers on the hotness rating, the taste is amazing, exactly how I like my curry’s,tasty and mild. The flavour is gorgeous,I’m sooooo glad I decided to test it for myself because this is definitely going onto my favourites list to buy again! The portions are good too,if you went to a takeaway you’d pay at least £5 more for a portion a little bigger than this, but you could buy 2 of these for bigger portions and still save money! I’m absolutely won over with this curry. Thank you Iceland!!!

This used to be a lovely curry that had plenty of chicken, good flavour and had a spicy heat leaving a tingle on the lips, that matched any Indian curry house. My husband had one of the two bought 10 days ago and had to either pick out or spit out [discretely] 14 curry leaves. I had the other one last night and spent my time picking out 21 curry leaves and had to swallow quite a few bits that had broken from the leaves. There was no 'heat' in it at all, just a semi spicy sauce - I was left very disappointed and will not be buying again until it's back to it's original recipe.

As with all the recent reviews, I have to confirm that the new 'improved recipe' is nothing of the sort. This product has been ruined and I beg that the recipe is changed back to the previous recipe. The original recipe was very spicy and very tasty and with a portion of Basmati rice tasted as good as most Curry House meals. It was also low in calories and, as I liked it so much, I used to have this as a main meal in an evening as it filled me up and stopped me snacking later on. I lost a couple of stones earlier in the year because of this. The new 'improved recipe' is no better than the cheap 99p supermarket value brand meals and some of those are more tasty!! Until the product changes, my regular Iceland trips will stop. Finally, what are the 'curry leaves' in this product. I have had hundreds of Chicken Madras meals over the years all over the country and never seen anything like this products 'curry leaves'. At the very least get rid of these as they are pointless!!! Please listen to the reviews and change the product back to the earlier recipe as soon as possible.

The new recipe makes the curry taste like mud. Doesn't taste nice at all.

Been buying these for over a year now and they have always been one the best frozen curries I've ever tasted. I did not realize they were new and improved. I just thought it was a off curry to the usual quality a one off. What happened was. without knowing about the new and improved, I noticed loads of curry leaves in it, much thinner, vegetable skin, on one bite, and on my very last bite of chicken, there was a hard fatty piece, which I spat out in the bin,it was disgusting. Now after seeing all these bad reviews in more detail about them, now I know what the problem was.. they 'improved' the recipe. so they tell me. This is my first ever Iceland review. being a customer for many years. Hasn't food already gotten smaller and gone up in price? Do we need it to taste inedible as well? I heard food prices are going up by another 8% as well . So I guess this will start happening even more where the food quality goes down to cut corners.

This madras used to taste like a takeaway curry, now it's horrible after the new improved recipe. Please Iceland bring back the old one
