Have to be the worst cake ever!! There werent any cherries in it..... horrible taste definitely wouldn't buy again

Not sure if being the “end” piece rather than a middle cut affected the amount of cherries, there was certainly no where near the 14% stated in the ingredients. Although received on 17 April and the BB date being 1 May, it was quite stale tasting. I managed to find a total of 9 pieces of cherries that were each less than 1/16th of a whole one. I ended up cutting the cake into chunks and using as a trifle base with lots of sherry to moisten it. This made it palatable. I will try it again, however If it’s the same then it’s off the shopping list for me!
