How to cook

Pan Fry Chilled

Remove from packaging, allow to stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Lightly season each side of the steak.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a high heat.

Fry over a high heat for Rare 5-6 minutes, Medium 7-8 minutes, Well done 10 minutes.

Turn half way through cooking time.

Reduce heat if necessary.

Allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.

Very tasty tender steak!!

Huge thick succulent steak. Amazing value for a fiver

Excellent quality, with very little fat on it, recommended cooking times were spot on and could easily have been a steak from a premium restaurant.

You can buy 2 smaller steaks in other shops that cost a little more but are far superior in quality. For example, the fat on both the steaks I bought was very thick so once that was removed, and it really did need removing, it made them considerably smaller. The meat itself was okay, 7 minutes a side gave me a nice medium colour, but it was no better or worse that any other steak around the same price and the gimmick is obviously to have a giant steak. So, if size is important then this is a winner, I would suggest frying the fat side for an extra 3-5 minutes if you want to eat that as well although I am skeptical that it would make it any better.

I got one of these to share with my husband to see if they were any good, wow they were delicious, went back for two more we don’t want to share this time!

Lovely large tasty steak , very good

I bought two of these last week, and nearly fainted away when I saw how big they were! We had to cut one in half because we knew we would not be able to eat a whole one each, and I must say that the one we ate was great.I have never cooked such a tender,succulent steak. They are the size of a fifteen or twenty pound restaurant steak -for a fiver each. The second one went into the freezer for this weekend.We are looking forward to it!
