bay leaf madras loads of them apart from that great taste

Sort of edible. Plenty of sauce and the chunks of meat are chewable if not exactly tender. Actually rather hot, but not much in the way of a tomato taste for a Madras.

Used to love this curry but amount of meat pieces has reduced (not as portrayed in the tv advert) and the sauce is watery ... Prefer to pay extra and get a take-away :(

Pot luck with these. Just had one and a couple of pieces of beef had gristle in them and what looked an artery or something. Chicken one is way better, never any surprises in those ones. Still when the beef is good it's a lovely curry but sometimes it's a letdown finding dodgy beef.

My partner prefers it to the chicken

Husband said best Indian he's had in ages.we use Indian takeaways regularly

well, this is most definitely authentic with the meat so soft it was falling apart. one of the best dishes I have brought from Iceland so far in a ready meal. most definitely with nice nans add salt as required to bring out the taste in it to where needed. cooking time was 45 mins awesome.

Hardly any Beef in it, says on ingredients that there is 24% beef, that's a lie, more like 10% OR LESS. and most of it was inedible fat or gristle. Counted and had to spit out 20+ Curry leaves, Poor effort Iceland. AVOID

Hardly any Beef in it and what was there I found full of fat.

Madras is not too hot but it's very spicy.

Husband enjoys them , good value

Excellent

This curry used to be very nice but at some point they must have changed the recipe and I now find myself not liking this one anywhere near as much.

Was a staple but they changed the recipe and it's less flavoured more watery and less succulent meat. It's not terrible but it's disappointing compared to before. Iceland think you can change it back?

Was the best untill Iceland improved the recipie now only mediocre :(

Best curry on the market until you decided to improve it....change it back please looks like I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Soft succulent and very tasty. Well cooked will continue to buy if Iceland don’t decide to stop them.

Bought this by mistake, but in for a penny - It was very good, don't know why people say the beef is chewy, mine was tender and yes there is some fat but it adds to the taste. Great meal and will have again.

I had read all the previous reviews about the beef being 'chewy' so wasn't really looking forward to this. However, the night I cooked it I was very busy, so I put it on a low setting in my oven and left it for a few hours. By the time I came to eat it the beef was falling apart and fat free. That said the flavour of the meat isn't the best (tasted like a beef/lamb cross, and had that cheap taste you often get in frozen curry) Sauce is nice, not spicy though - which a Madras should be - but enjoyable all the same. Good but not as good as the Bhuna (which is spicier and does taste like takeout).

The beef is tough and chewy the sauce is great. Won't buy again will get the chicken madras which is 10/10
