How to cook

Deep Fry Frozen

180°C Cook time: 4 min. - 5 min.

Remove required amount from packaging and place in the wire basket.

Fry for 4-5 minutes.


Oven Frozen

Fan 200°C Cook time: 13 min. - 15 min.

Gas 7

Remove from all packaging.

Place on a pre-heated lightly oiled baking tray in a single layer near the top of the oven.

7 minutes into cooking time, turn over, return to oven for 6-8 minutes.

Batter (Wheat Flour, Water, Sunflower Oil, Corn Starch, Salt, Flavourings, Raising Agents (Sodium Carbonates, Diphosphates), Thickener: Guar Gum; Colour: Riboflavins), Squid (40%) (Squid (Molluscs), Antioxidants (Sodium Ascorbate, Sodium Citrates), Stabiliser: Sodium Phosphates).

Salty and the overpowering taste of batter does ruin these and it masks the creamyness I love in traditional calamari. You get plenty in the bag for your money but I won't be buying again.

tasty. But I think it's better not to obey the rules on package. Don't add oil on them. Just put them into oven for not being too greasy.

Lovely fresh tasting and crisps well. Must fry in fresh oil though and drain well on kitchen towel. They don't do well in the oven. Good with homemade tartar sauce.

Far too greasy although oven cooked. Nobody ate them, whole lot ended up in the bin

Far too salty and just tasted of greasy batter, won’t be buying again

My 7-year-olds go crazy for these (and Iceland whitebait). Excellent.

I love calamari, even when coated in batter, but all I could taste was batter with these.

Great to have them back after quite a while. Suggest to under cook rather than too much. Great deep fried in wraps.
