How to cook

Poach Frozen

Poach Cook time: 10 min. - 15 min.

Remove fillet(s) from all packaging.

Place into a pan.

Add water or milk to just cover fillet(s).

Bring the pan to the boil.

Then simmer gently for 10–15 minutes (do not boil).

Do not let the pan boil dry.


Grill Frozen

Grill Cook time: 15 min. - 20 min.

Pre-heat grill to a medium heat.

Remove fillet(s) from all packaging.

Place on the base of the grill pan for 15-20 minutes.

Grill, turn halfway through cooking time, reduce heat if necessary.


Oven Frozen

Fan 180ºC Cook time: 25 min. - 30 min.

Gas 6 Cook time: 25 min. - 30 min.

Pre-heat oven.

Remove fillet(s) from all packaging.

Wrap fillets loosely in foil.

Place on middle shelf on a baking tray for 25-30 minutes.


Microwave Frozen

Based on 1 fillet

Remove 1 fillet from all packaging.

Place fillet on a microwavable plate.

Cover with film & pierce several times.

Cook for 5-8 minutes depending on fillet thickness.

Leave to stand for 1 minute.

They are lovely put in oven in foil with a nob of butter beautiful fish

Been buying them for weeks now and we love them! Never found a bone and the taste and texture are lovely.

Usually fine and obviously you expect to find the odd bone, last pack purchased was bones in nearly every mouthful.

Beautiful smokey taste, we love it.

Nice taste but a bit watery.small portions .

I don't understand the bad reviews for this fish. Poached lightly and served with a knob of butter and crusty bread - delicious! It's a great price too.

Very nice smoked flavour, However, as others have mentioned, they cook up to be very small portions.

I have no problem with taste and view it as an essential for healthy eating but do have a problem with size. One fillet is exceptionally meagre. Two fillets are required for a meal that I have as part of calorie controlled diet! Poor show indeed.

Sadly not for me. Taste a bit too fishy when you compare against fresh fish. Also didn't like the skin on, as trying to take it off was difficult.

The size of them is good for the price but, I found them so salty.

Yes it has the skin left on and shock horror I once found a bone but I still think this is the best smoked haddock.

Cook as per instructions the grill with a knob of butter on top for a minute - really tasty - my favourite fish. Add (Iceland frozen) mash and a (Birdseye) steam bag of veg for a quick wholesome meal-

I love this smokey fish in my fish pie recipe, it really lifts the flavour & my kids love it! Good value for money too

Just as good as any others I will continue buying it.

I have purchased frozen smoked haddock before from a different frozen food store and really liked it. I was expecting the same with Iceland, but unfortunately it was very salty so I won't be buying it again. Also a shame that it doesn't have the skin removed like other suppliers.

I eat this almost every night. I have tried frozen fish from all other supermarkets, but this is hands down the best.

I love this fish. Best cooked in oven in butter wrapped in foil.

OK for a quick easy lunch, cooking times in the microwave need adjusting. Would buy again though.
