How to cook

Defrost

in a refrigerator Cook time: - 12 hr.

Remove required amount from all packaging, place on a plate, cover.

Defrost in a refrigerator for 12 hours.

Drain before cooking.

Once defrosted keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours.


Pan Fry Defrost

Cook time: - 8 min.

Pre-heat a little oil in a frying pan.

Fry skin down over a medium heat for 8 minutes.

Turn half way through cooking time.

Reduce heat if necessary.


Grill Frozen

Cook time: - 13 min.

Pre-heat grill to a medium heat.

Remove from packaging.

Place onto the base of a grill pan.

Grill for 13 minutes.

Turn occasionally, reduce heat if necessary.


Oven Frozen

Fan 180°C Cook time: 25 min. - 30 min.

Gas 6

Remove from all packaging.

Wrap loosely in foil.

Place on a baking tray near the middle of the oven for 25-30 minutes.

Please try this it's fab. I cook it skin side up with a little oil in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes. If you like the skin it crisps up enough but if you'd prefer it skin free as I do then it just lifts off when cooked and you have perfect fish underneath. I like it with the golden rice bags iceland also sell and a few added veg if you want to add anything to the meal.

Love mackeral ..good size fillets for price

We spread Harissa Paste on the Mackerel and grilled them. We served Iceland Saag as an accompaniment. It made a delicious healthy Supper.

Just love these with a salad so easy to have in the freezer and good on the bbq

Good sized fillets that are very tasty

Great value, easy to cook. I buy this regularly.

I normally do not buy mackerel fillets from the fishmonger because the flesh is too dense and the skin too thick. But these are superb! Had forgotten to get anything sorted for lunch, so grabbed two of these from the freezer, dug up some potatoes and cut a lettuce from the veg patch, quickly basted the fillets with oil, mustard and lemon mixture, put them, frozen, under a hot grill, cooked the potatoes, made up the salad, drizzled the cooked fish with more dressing and chopped herbs and the result was delicious! Crispy skin, lovely moist flesh. Can't fault them.

Excellent mackerel which I have bought many many times. It's suits asian dishes.

Totally overpriced. It is a joke.

I absolutely love them! I often cook with maybe a little red pesto chopped up orange, add freshly ground black pepper & wrap in foil & bake in the oven. Hey Presto!
