I used to buy these often when Greggs first released the frozen range in Iceland, in the past year or so they have gone way down hill. They used to have chunks of actual steak inside, now it seems that they only contain the remains of what was put into its store sold versions, mainly gristle and a few strands of beef in the gravy. I mean a few strands too. I cooked all one earlier this week and found no actual meat in there so I cooked the remaining 3 bakes from the 2 boxes I purchased, all in all I found 8 chunks in them. Of these 8 chunks 6 were gristle and the remaining 2 were 1CM pieces of beef. I feel that Greggs should issue an apology to its customers and Iceland. Blatantly using Iceland as a way to get rid of its unwanted waste product on the sly. We as customers aren't stupid, many of us have been buying these products from in the greggs store as well as Iceland. WE CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE, LOOK AT YOUR REVIEWS. Fix this rubbish before your reputation goes completely out the window.

Please ask Greggs to give their current Quality Controller his cards and money., { 2nd thoughts just cards } There steak bakes [ SORRY !! I mean't grissle and brown slurry bakes } used to be good value and quality. Do they think we won't notice that they have even cut back on the amount of ' filling ' as well as increasing the price.

These used to be amazing but unfortunately the last year or so the quality has gone badly downhill hardly any meat mainly grizzle and the gravy has become like black tar they have made them far inferior to save costs but it's ruined them also Iceland now have the cheek to raise the price for this product they are just not worth the money Iceland sort these out it's a joke these used to have 5* reviews your lucky I gave them a 2 only because of the pastry

Not worth buying. I bought these the other day and was appalled and disgusted when I started eating them. There was nothing but air inside. They actually used to have a filling but now they seem to be filled with a little bit of gravy and barely a thumb sized amount of meat. What an absolute joke. I would give a ZERO if I could because there is nothing but pastry. 0 out of 10

These have nothing inside them. A tiny bit of gravy and a few tiny pieces of meat. Other than that there is air. Not worth buying. Garbage.

The image on the box shows EXACTLY how much is inside. That tiny little filling on the picture you see here is the ENTIRE CONTENTS AND IT MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH. Where is the rest of it?

I don't usually like things like this but love these. Crisp light pastry and a thick tasty gravy with plenty of meat.

Most disgusting pasties I have eaten, big lumps of fat and gristle inside, just like a cheap copy, will never buy again.

They are absolutely delicious when cooked in the oven, lovely crisp pastry.

I really enjoy these! They are delish!

Full of gristle and nothing else!! It was the worst pasty I have EVER had -- Horrible.

I have always loved Greggs steak bakes, but the last few I have eaten have been full of gristle and today I nearly choked on one there was 4 big lumps of it in my pie. What’s going on? sort it out!

Recently I have noted a falling off in quality. What was once a great product worth a premium price is now mediocre, hit and miss lottery as to whether you get meat or gristle. C'mon Greggs you can do better.

These are a smashing tea time treat with chips and baked beans or garden peas. We really love them.

Ok but I wish, oh wish they would bring Greggs Cornish pasties back they were my favorites, although they had to change the name. Please Iceland reconsider.

A brown slurry intermingled with lumps of gristle encased in a pleasant pastry.

Great taste, the best in the Iceland Greggs range I say

These steak bakes are absolutely gorgeous. They are packed with delicious steak and are very moreish. Will definitely be purchasing again!
