Spicy fennel sausage and buffalo mozzarella pizza, inspired by the island of Sardinia

When I'm not working, I try to spend any free time I can on the beautiful island of Sardinia. I have a wood burning pizza oven at my home there, and I make this spicy sausage and mozzarella pizza with my boys, whenever I can. I love the warming kick of chilli, so personally, I serve it with extra chilli oil

I grew up in Naples, the birthplace of the iconic pizza. As a young boy I learned the art of making pizza from my grandmother, Nonna Flora. 30 years on, using the same methods and ingredients, I am proud to have created a range of pizzas, all made in Italy for you to enjoy at home just like my family do......Buon Appetito

How to cook

Oven Frozen

Fan 200°C Cook time: - 15 min.

Gas 6

Pre-heat for 10 minutes.

Remove my pizza from all packaging and place directly onto the middle shelf of the oven for 15 MINUTES.

While you are cooking my pizza please do not open the oven door otherwise you will lose heat.

Set your oven to fan at 200°C / Gas Mark 6 and pre-heat for 10 minutes. Remove my pizza from all packaging and place directly onto the middle shelf of the oven for 15 minutes. While you are cooking my pizza please do not open the oven door otherwise you will lose heat. The above instructions are guidelines only. Ensure the product is thoroughly cooked before serving. Do Not re-freeze after defrosting and never eat my pizza piping hot, let it rest for 1 minute out of the oven so you will appreciate the flavours of each ingredient.

Great pizza well done Gino! Looking forward to trying others in the range!

EXCELLENT! For a frozen pizza! Bravissimo

I appreciate how Gino does a lot to bring authentic, quality Italian food to the British masses. It's slightly different than the USA style pizzas we're used to, as his pizzas have regional characteristics. I found the bread to be tasty and the cheese and sausage tasted quality to me too.

Excellent pizza with plenty of tasty topping. Not sure why someone said the sausage tasted cheap. I thought it was very authentic. Tried Gino’s tip to put a little chilli oil on it. Delicious, the best frozen pizza I’ve ever tried. Thanks Iceland and Gino.

A really nice pizza, better than most other frozen ones! I only bought as was on a special offer but would really like to try the rest of the Gino range now!

Sausage was tasty enough, but a tissue-paper thin topping again? The pizza that I get in Italy is always very generously topped. They got the srust right - very authentic, if a bit too crusty at 15 minutes cooking - try 13 minutes, seems a lot better? Disappointed in the Gino range - the Iceland range at a third the price is just as nice to be honest

Looks great out of the box, with big hunks of mozzarella and a decent smattering of sausage meat, but upon eating it's almost entirely flavourless and the sausage tastes really cheap, with an unpleasantly soft texture. It was particularly astonishing to see how much cheese there is and then bite into it and not taste any cheese whatsoever. Again, it seems like they've nailed the aesthetic but cheaped out on the ingredients, which I guess is to be expected for novelty celebrity food.

Gorgeous pizza, light crispy base, really tasty not tasted anything like it before. Could do with a bit.more topping but apart from that, my fave, try it!

Very dry. Tasty though, just not enough topping. Won't buy again.

This is so different from the usual frozen pizza, I loved this, what a lovely taste. Cant wait to try the others in this range now.
