Awful, kidney pies. Won't buy it again

What 33% More Meat? While tasty they are lacking something important – Filling – especially when the tin is emblazoned with ‘New Improved Recipe - 33% More Meat’ which seems to have gone AWOL in its entirety. Doubt I’ll be buying any more.

Horrible. If you buy it and cook it you will throw it away. Get any Iceland Steak pie as they taste better. I had them when I was younger. They were great but these things are the lowest of the low. When I did not eat it I gave it to my dog and he turned his nose up to it also. Not even suitable for a dog...

Unfortnately Frey Bentos did what so many companies do - chased profits against product quality. When I was younger these really were the best pies around, but now they've cut the meat to being virtually non existent. 33% more of nothing, is still nothing. Shame on yo Frey Bentos

"New and improved recipe! 33% MORE MEAT!" I don't know what is worse, the fact that these pies USED TO BE the best pies around bar none, including the mince ones they do, but then someone at the top decided, you know what these amazing pies need? Less meat and more gravy, oh and whatever those weird blobs of mushy fat are, lets all LOTS of that stuff!!! Or, the fact that they claim this is a new recipe by ADDING BACK the meat, while STILL NOT ADDING BACK THE MEAT? There's an old saying, Fool me a couple of thousand times with your pies, shame on you. Fool me a couple of thousand and one times with your pies, shame on me. These pies used to be packed with good cuts of meat and just enough gravy to make it work PERFECTLY, with the beautiful crust (crust is still nice) but someone came along and destroyed it with blobs of fat in place of nice cuts of meat and far too much gravy. I'm done.

Low cost pie but very poor. Mainly Pastry and Gravy with very few bits of meat. Not like they used to be.

Not enough meat. I give my son what bit of meat there is and just have gravy. I am 88 yrs and used to get more meat a long time ago

Well as a child these were great but now I certainly won’t buy again. Couldn’t find any meat just a thick gravy. Awful

The name should be altered to gravy and meat because there was only 4 small pieces of meat in a lot of gravy. I complained to Fray Bentos and they wouldn't admit there had been a fault with their pies and stated that the correct amount of meat was in every pie. I will never buy one again.

There is very little meat in the pie, in tiny pieces. Really not much for 2 people. Need 1 pie per person. Also found lid tough to remove with a new tin opener.
