How to cook

Oven cook From Frozen

180°C/160°C fan/ Gas Mark 4. 1. Place the defrosted turkey in a roasting tin and allow to stand at room temperature for an hour before cooking. 2. Loosely cover the turkey with lightly greased foil. 3. Cook in a pre-heated oven (see temperatures above). 4. Roast for the time specified on the weight label on the front of bag. 5. Remove foil for the final 1 hour and 30 minutes to allow the skin to become golden and crispy. 6. To ensure your turkey is completely cooked, insert a clean skewer into the thickest part of the meat. If the juices are still pink, return to the oven for a further 15 minutes or until juices run clear. 7. Cover the turkey with foil and rest for 30 minutes prior to carving. Please Note: All appliances vary, these are guidelines only. We advise that you do not stuff the turkey, but cook the stuffing separately.

I brined the turkey for 2 days and then removed the legs and thighs to turn it into a turkey crown. I cooked it in a turkey bag for two hours before removing the bag and allowing it to brown. Leave to stand for 15 minutes. Perfect moist turkey breast. Better than the £70 bird that my sister bought last year. Cooked the legs separately.

Rude delivery driver who dropped the turkey down my front steps (evident on the cctv) bashed and torn packaging. Won't use Iceland again.

I've tried high end store turkeys before, but this was by far the best. Moist and with clear instructions, I covered mine with bacon and foil then half an hour from the end removed it to let the turkey brown. Perfect, highly recommended!
