How to cook

Hob From Ambient

It's easy peasy! It only takes a few minutes to heat me in a pot on the hob. Empty contents into a saucepan. Heat gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not allow to boil.

Microwave From Ambient

750W 2 1/2 mins Place contents in a microwaveable container, cover and vent. Microwave on full power for 1 1/2 minutes, stir and re-cover. Microwave on full power for a further 1 minute. Allow to stand for 1 minute and stir before serving. For higher wattage microwaves heating times should be reduced.

I have received these tins instead of mushy peas as a substitution. I really liked these better than tinned or frozen mushy. Warmed or up in a small pan with salt and mint. Great company for fish dinner!

Awful peas, more like mushy peas when boiled which I dislike.

love these peas with fish fingers or fish pie the juice is lovely have these with mash potato and tinned plum tomatoes, like someone else said could enjoy cold.

If you add a little bicarbonate of soda and cook the peas quickly you will get proper mushy peas. Just like from the fish and chip shop but better!

I've always loved these peas. Just the right taste and I'm not against eating them on their own, sometimes even cold. (I know, I'm weird.)

I bought these during the first lockdown as I wanted peas and could not find any frozen ones. What a find. I absolutely love them and prefer them to frozen. They remind me of good old mushy peas but even nicer as mushy peas can often be bitter and these are sweeter. Lovely with fish and chips. Have to agree with a previous reviewer regarding cooking them slowly as if cooked quickly they burst open out of their skins.

Absolutely gorgeous !! Comfort food at its best. Remember to heat very slowly so the skins don't burst, add a knob of butter just at the end and enjoy.

My dad loves these, hel sit there and eat them cold with bread and butter if I’d let him. Lovely with fish and chips or ******* and mash.

Good taste, Good value, I find them lighter on the stomach than frozen peas, less windy! ;-)

Good taste at a good price.
