Baked stuffed cannelloni pasta with creamy ricotta cheese, spinach and rocket leaves

Serves 2 as a starter / Serves 1 as a main

This was my grandfather's favourite dish. Baked pasta filled with peppery rocket leaves, spinach and sweet ricotta cheese. 20 years on and Nonno Giovanni's cannelloni is still a firm family favourite.

When I'm at home, you will often find me in the kitchen creating my favourite Italian meals, many of which are featured in my cookbooks and television shows. But here's my secret... I often freeze them, so my family can enjoy real Italian food whenever they want to. Using the same recipes, ingredients and methods, I am pleased to have created a range of classic meals all made in Italy, for you to enjoy at home just like my family do......Buon Appetito

Gino D'Acampo Signature

How to cook

Oven Frozen

Fan 220°C Cook time: - 45 min.

Gas 6

Pre-heat for 10 minutes.

Remove from outer carton and plastic bag before cooking.

Place onto a baking tray and cook in the middle of the oven for 45 MINUTES.


Microwave Frozen

Cook time: - 12 min.

800w

Remove from outer carton.

Do not pierce or remove plastic bag.

Place onto a microwaveable plate and cook for 6 MINUTES.

Stand for 1 minute, return to microwave and continue to cook for a further 6 MINUTES.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN OPENING THIS PRODUCT AS THERE MAY BE A BUILD-UP OF STEAM.


Defrost

in a refrigerator

Defrost this dish in a refrigerator for 12 hours.

Once defrosted keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours.


Oven Defrost

Fan 200°C Cook time: - 35 min.

Gas 6

Pre-heat for 10 minutes.

Remove from outer carton and plastic bag before cooking.

Place onto a baking tray and cook in the middle of the oven for 35 MINUTES.

Filled Cannelloni 40% {ricotta and spinach filling 65% [ricotta cheese 15.6% (MILK), spinach 4.1%, Edam cheese (MILK, salt, microbial rennet), rocket preparation (rocket 0.9%, sunflower oil, salt, acidity regulator: citric acid), breadcrumbs (WHEAT flour, water, yeast, salt), hard grated cheese (MILK, salt, microbial rennet), sugar, onion, salt, spices], cooked cannelloni egg pasta 35% [durum WHEAT semolina, EGG, water]}, tomato sauce 37.8% [tomato pulp 26.8%, skimmed MILK powder, sunflower oil, onion, WHEAT flour, cream (MILK), carrot, CELERY, salt, sugar, basil, spices], béchamel sauce 17.7% [skimmed MILK powder, WHEAT flour, sunflower oil, cream (MILK), salt, WHEAT starch, spices], cheese 4.5% [mozzarella cheese (MILK, salt, microbial rennet), grated hard cheese (MILK, salt, microbial rennet)].

This was bland, bland, bland. Totally tasteless and so disappointing.

Tastes really nice with lots of black pepper but I have tasted better, disappointed given the name!

This promised much, delivered little. Nothing like a proper Italian cannelloni. Not a smidgeon of garlic! Thoroughly disappointed.

On my goodness! This is fabulous! I’m not a fan of ready meals but this tastes so fresh, light and tasty.

This is delicious for a micro meal plenty there to enough for one if you got big appetite or for 2 if u hving garlic bread as well

Nice hearty meal, but far too much spinach for me. A little bland, needs seasoning
