Wild Boar & Apple Sausages

Made using only the highest quality wild boar, these rich, flavoursome, gamey sausages are delicately balanced with sweet aromatic apple. They’re high in protein too! Perfect served with mash and onion gravy.

  • 720g frozen wild boar & apple sausages
  • 450g frozen mash
  • 50g salted butter
  • 100ml double cream
  • 250g white onion
  • ½ bulb garlic
  • 100ml white wine
  • 25g Bisto gravy granules
  • 10g fresh thyme
  1. Peel and finely slice the onion & garlic.
  2. Fry the onion and garlic in oil until golden brown.
  3. Add the white wine & thyme, reduce until almost all of the liquid is gone.
  4. Add 500ml of water, bring to the boil, whisk in the Bisto and simmer for 5 minutes. Check consistency and flavour.
  5. Warm mash in microwave for 3 minutes, then add to a warm pan with the butter & cream. Beat vigorously.
  6. Defrost the sausages overnight in the fridge. Roast the sausages in a pre-heated 200°C oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Place mash in centre of the bowl, arrange sausages on top & spoon over onion gravy.
