Pesto Twists

Ingredients

  • 1kg pack of frozen puff pastry - defrosted
  • 1-2 tbsp green pesto
  • 1-2 tbsp red pesto
  • 50g grated mature cheddar

Method

  1. Heat oven to 200°C, gas mark 6.
  2. Roll 1 half of the puff pastry out on a floured surface to approx. 35cm length and approx. 20cm width.
  3. Spoon the green pesto on top and spread out in an even layer. Sprinkle half the grated cheese on top.
  4. Fold the pastry in half from the bottom to the top.
  5. Gently press together to 2 halves.
  6. Cut the pastry into 2cm lengths and then gently twist each pinching the ends together.
  7. Place on a floured baking tray and brush with egg.
  8. Bake in the oven for approx. 10 mins until golden brown.
