Pesto Twists
Ingredients
- 1kg pack of frozen puff pastry - defrosted
- 1-2 tbsp green pesto
- 1-2 tbsp red pesto
- 50g grated mature cheddar
Method
- Heat oven to 200°C, gas mark 6.
- Roll 1 half of the puff pastry out on a floured surface to approx. 35cm length and approx. 20cm width.
- Spoon the green pesto on top and spread out in an even layer. Sprinkle half the grated cheese on top.
- Fold the pastry in half from the bottom to the top.
- Gently press together to 2 halves.
- Cut the pastry into 2cm lengths and then gently twist each pinching the ends together.
- Place on a floured baking tray and brush with egg.
- Bake in the oven for approx. 10 mins until golden brown.
