Another Golden Night for Iceland!
Iceland has again demonstrated its expertise in frozen foods by winning a Gold and a Silver Award at the recent Grocer Own Label Food & Drink Awards 2011. Both awards were in the Frozen Savoury category.
Kung Po Chicken
Iceland picked up a Gold Award for its delicious Kung Po Chicken. Selling at only £1.50, the meal from the 'Chinese Takeaway' range consists of roasted chicken breast fillet with water chestnuts, red pepper and cashew nuts in a sweet chilli szechuan sauce.
Kashmiri Chicken Tikka
The second triumph for Iceland came when its Kashmiri Chicken Tikka from the 'Indian Takeaway' range won the Silver Award. For just £2, customers can enjoy marinated chicken breast in a Kashmiri style sauce with apricots and coconut.
