The Prostate Cancer Charity

The Prostate Cancer Charity

The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK's leading charity in the field of prostate cancer. Each year, over 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer, making it the most common cancer in men in the UK.

The Charity was set up in 1996 and has invested over £7 million in vital medical research and supported thousands of men and their families.

Golf Event

In 2008 and 2009, Iceland held charity golf events which raised an amazing £417,322.42, the proceeds of which were shared between two of our chosen Good Causes. The Prostate Cancer Charity received over £200,000 from these events, which will help it to continue its invaluable research and support for those affected by prostate cancer.

Iceland has also undertaken other initiatives to help raise awareness of prostate cancer, including the sale of fridge magnets through our stores in the run-up to Father’s Day 2009.
