Alder Hey Imagine Appeal
Iceland is proud to support the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal.
The Imagine Appeal was launched in 2005, with the support of Yoko Ono. Every donation received enables Alder Hey to achieve that little bit more, from researching medical conditions to buying vital equipment, building a better environment and providing facilities for families.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital 'Imagine Appeal' is Iceland's adopted charity and has been since 2005. Over the last four years Iceland has raised a total of £3 million for this fantastic cause, mainly through fund-raising events organised by our employees and supported by our customers and staff.
During the last two years alone Iceland, its employees and generous customers have helped to raise almost £2 million for Europe's largest children's hospital. The largest single contribution comes from our annual charity week, which involves our people throughout the business and features a host of in-store events and other fund-raising initiatives ranging from sponsored car washing, bike rides and sports matches to mountain climbing, parachute jumps, assault courses and even diving with sharks! Our August charity week in 2009 raised an amazing £415,752.89 for Alder Hey.
We contributed a further £75,872.16 in 2009 through our annual charity golf day, bringing the two year total raised from this event to more than £200,000, while head office staff raised more than £10,500 by holding a successful 70s night in our Roxy restaurant.
Additional corporate donations brought the total contributed by Iceland to the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal in 2008 and 2009 to a remarkable £1.988 million.
Iceland's fundraising campaigns aim to support the hospital in its pioneering work, to develop facilities and to offer the very highest standards of care to young patients.
