Whole Tiger Prawns

Add some incredible flavour to this popular seafood with chilli, parsley and garlic. It’s so good, you’ll want seconds.

Method

  • 800g frozen whole black tiger prawns
  • 250g salted butter
  • ½ bulb garlic
  • 2 frozen cubes of chilli
  • 3 lemons
  • 4 frozen cubes of parsley
  • 1 loaf frozen stone baked sourdough bread
  1. Defrost the prawns overnight in the fridge. Peel shell from the defrosted prawns, leaving the tail and head on, then de-vein.
  2. Peel and finely chop the garlic, add to softened butter, parsley & chilli. Mix until smooth.
  3. Bake bread to packet instructions. When cool, cut into 8 slices and toast.
  4. Place prawns on an oven proof serving dish & divide butter between them. Season with salt & pepper.
  5. Place prawns in a pre-heated oven at 180 celsius for 4-6 minutes. When cooked, spoon butter over prawns.
  6. Finish with the zest and juice of a lemon.
  7. Slice 2 lemons in half, then arrange on serving dishes with prawns and toast.
